For the first time in decades, the US and UK governments have started reporting on UFOs seriously, even if in a restricted manner. The development has given a further boost to conspiracy theorists, incentivizing them to dig deeper and generate momentum around it. This report delves into people’s interest in alien mysteries, theories and revelations and how much they trust the information.

Major QAnon promoter and conspiracy theorist Ron Watkins recently unveiled his latest personal project, ‘AlienLeaks’, a website dedicated to exploring extraterrestrial life. The platform, which aims to publish leaked documents WikiLeaks-style, is calling upon would-be whistleblowers to come forward and share any documents they have regarding aliens. This comes at a time when the US government itself is taking a hard look at UFOs, as revealed by the recent Navy footage, which has led to a fresh surge of interest among ufologists and the general public alike. But long used to baffling conspiracy theories and repeated government denials over the years, how trustful are people of these surprising new developments? Will alien existence finally go beyond pop culture and enter the mainstream discourse? Piplsay polled 30,800 Americans and 5,000 Britons to get some insights. Here is a summary of what we found:
