Following the second wave, several businesses that had just begun to reopen had to revert to work from home again, particularly after the government weighed in. This report delves into how Britons are coping up with this change in their working lifestyle. Businesses can leverage this data in their decision making.

With several businesses resorting to permanent or long-term work from home, remote working undoubtedly is becoming an alternate work culture. However, across Europe and the UK, the ongoing second wave is pushing people indoors once again, at least till the tide sweeps over. How have Britons adapted to this new lifestyle, and how have organizations helped in this transition? Piplsay polled 7,250 people nationwide to get these insights. Here is a summary of what we found:

  • 54% of men are comfortable working from home as compared to 46% of women
  • Millennials (56%) have become comfortable with the work-from-home culture as compared to Gen Zers (44%)
  • 56% of Gen Xers and 52% of Millennials are happy with the support they are getting from their employers
  • 24% of Gen Zers and 22% of Millennials and Gen Xers have personally invested in making their work-from-home infrastructure better

Survey Methodology: This Piplsay survey (powered by Market Cube) was conducted nationwide in the UK from October 15-18, 2020. We received 7,250 online responses from individuals aged 18 years and older.
