President Trump’s election campaign rally held in Tulsa last month became a subject of much debate and criticism. This primary focus, however, remained the timing of the rally given the ongoing persistent and ongoing pandemic. This report delves into what the American voters think about these ongoings. President Trump may have been fighting multiple battles at a time, but that did not stop him from restarting his election campaign amid the pandemic. The rally, however, made headlines for all the wrong reasons. From his campaign staff testing positive for COVID-19 to the empty seats at the venue, and his eyebrow-raising remark on COVID-19 testing, there were plenty of issues to talk about. Piplsay polled 30,622 Americans to understand their thoughts on this latest talking point. Here’s a summary of what we found:

  • Around 43% of Blacks and Hispanics each and 51% of Whites believe it is unfair to use sabotage tactics like the ones used in the Tulsa rally
  • 43% of anti-Trump Gen Zers do not support the sabotage tactics as compared to 57% of anti-Trump Gen Zers who support it
  • 64% of Gen Xers support physical election rallies amid the pandemic as compared to just 36% of Gen Zers
