Carmaker Tesla, mostly known for its electric and self-driving cars, plans to start building humanoid robots for regular human use in the near future. This report delves into people’s opinions and reactions to this latest futuristic development.

Elon Musk recently made headlines when he announced Tesla’s next big project - humanoid robots designed to navigate the human world and take over dangerous and monotonous tasks. The robots, standing tall at 173 centimeters and featuring a display screen on their faces, will be designed in such a way that it will allow humans to outpace and even overpower them, mostly to thwart concerns surrounding the dangers of AI. But with his own track record of cautioning against AI robots and setting multiple ambitious targets, will Elon Musk deliver on his promise this time? Significantly, are Americans excited about this futuristic proposition? Piplsay polled 30,600 Americans nationwide to get some insights. Here is a summary of what we found:

Survey Methodology: This Piplsay survey was conducted nationwide in the US  from September 6-8, 2021. We received 30,600 online responses from individuals aged 18 years and older.
