The UK is experiencing a second pandemic wave with a government determined to avoid a second national lockdown. This report delves into Britons’ thoughts and attitudes as it lives through another round of curfews and restrictions. Government bodies can leverage this data in their decision making.

Warnings Britons of unquestionably difficult months ahead, PM Boris Johnson appealed to them to obey the new set of restrictions as a second coronavirus wave overshadows lives across Europe once again. From banning gatherings of more than six people, curfews across hospitality venues, and appealing people to work from home where possible, the government is doing all it can to avoid a surge in infection and avoid tighter restrictions, including a possible national lockdown. Amid renewed fears and curtailed movement, how are Britons responding to these new developments? Importantly, how seriously are they taking this second wave? Piplsay polled 12,097 Britons nationwide to get the insights. Here is a summary of what we found:

Survey Methodology: This Piplsay survey (powered by Market Cube) was conducted nationwide in the UK from October 3-4, 2020. We received 12,097 online responses from individuals aged 18 years and older.
